Farmers Honored for Advancing Sustainable Agriculture at Air Care Center at Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar

The Air Care Center at Khalsa College for Women hosted a pivotal convening on Sustainable Agriculture & Stubble-Free Farming, bringing together farmers from the Majha region to share insights on innovative agricultural practices.

The event featured an award ceremony recognizing progressive farmers for their commitment to environmentally responsible farming, particularly in managing crop residues without burning—an urgent issue in Punjab’s fight against air pollution.

Dr. Raminder Hundal, a sustainable agriculture expert,Awardee Palwinder Singh and Indu Aurora, President of Voice of Amritsar and many other distinguished guests and experts shared his perspective: “Farming sustainably is about respecting the land for future generations. By eliminating stubble burning and focusing on crop diversification, we can protect our environment and ensure long-term productivity.”
