Drug Prevention Committee, Red Ribbon Club and Rotaract Club in collaboration with Punjab Police, organized a seminar on Drug Awareness on March 14, 2024. The event featured sports activities promoting physical activity and sportsmanship. Games like Kabaddi, Tug of War and Musical Chairs were organised and winner were rewarded by Punjab Police, who also distributed T-shirts to raise awareness about drug abuse among students. Transitioning to the auditorium. Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur welcomed the esteemed dignitaries with bouquets, extending gratitude for their presence and support followed by Shabad Gayan. Dr. Surinder Kaur then delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the college commitment to combating drug abuse and fostering a drug-free environment. Dr. Nishtha, a renowned psychiatrist from GNDU Amritsar, shared insights into the psychological aspects of drug abuse, enlightening the audience with her expertise. S. Prabhjot Singh Virk, ADCP City Amritsar, provided valuable insights into the ground realities of drug abuse, urging students to be vigilant and proactive in addressing the issue. The seminar concluded on a poignant note with a heart-wrenching play performed by college students, depicting the devastating impact of drug addiction on families and society.
