Ardaas Diwas on April 24, 2025

Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, resonated with spiritual fervour and devotion on 24th April 2025 as the institution observed Ardas Divas to invoke the blessings of the Almighty for the upcoming examinations of the students. The serene event began with the paath of Sukhmani Sahib, followed by a soul-stirring Rasbina Kirtan performed by the college students, creating a spiritually charged atmosphere and instilling a sense of peace and renewed confidence.

The college principal, Dr. Surinder Kaur, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Khalsa College Charitable Society for its unwavering support in advancing women education and empowering them towards self-reliance.

The event was graced by the presence of S. Swinder Singh Ji Kathunangal, Vice President of the Khalsa College Charitable Society who addressed the students with words of encouragement and spiritual guidance. He extended his heartfelt blessings to all students appearing in their final undergraduate, and postgraduate examinations, urging them to work hard with full faith in Waheguru. He encouraged the students to continue striving with devotion and determination.

In a significant gesture of support and encouragement, scholarships were awarded by the Khalsa College Charitable Society to meritorious and deserving students. Students from Classes +1 and +2 and those pursuing graduation and post-graduation were awarded Rs. 3100, Rs. 2100 and Rs. 1100 respectively in Dharmik Sikhya. Students who devoted their services throughout the year to Gurudwara Sahib were also awarded scholarship. The initiative aims to recognize academic diligence and to motivate students to excel further in their studies.

As part of the tradition and service, Guru ka Langar was organized in the campus, reflecting the values of equality and humility. The Management, Staff members, and students of the college came together in the spirit of seva and shared the meal as a community, reinforcing the values the college stands for.
