Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Head, Department of Economics, Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar and Dr. Niharika Mahajan, Assistant Professor in Economics have been awarded an ICSSR Research Project of worth Rs. 10 lakhs on their Research Proposal titled “Effectiveness and Performance Evaluation of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna in Punjab: An Empirical Analysis”. The project is designed to evaluate and analyse the effectuation and functioning of PMKVY scheme in Punjab. The Principal of the college Dr. Surinder Kaur gave her best wishes and acknowledged the initiative taken by Department of Economics for choosing the topic which is current and thrust area of research now-a-days. On this commendable achievement, Vice-Principal Mrs. Ravinder Kaur, Director Research Dr. Ritu Dhawan and Dr Suman Nayyar Head, Department of Commerce congratulated and encouraged Dr Jaswinder Singh and Dr. Niharika Mahajan to achieve greater milestones in future.
