Heartfelt Farewell Ceremony for Outgoing Students

Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, organized a grand and vibrant farewell ceremony on 26th April 2025 to bid a warm adieu to its outgoing undergraduate and postgraduate students. The occasion was imbued with an atmosphere of celebration, nostalgia, and heartfelt emotions.

The program commenced with the ceremonial welcome of the Principal, Dr. Surinder Kaur, who was presented with a planter by the members of the Student Advisory Committee as a token of respect and gratitude. The event was formally inaugurated with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Dr. Surinder Kaur, Programme Coordinator Mrs. Sharina Mahajan, and members of the Student Advisory Committee, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom.

The celebration unfolded with a series of vibrant performances by junior students, featuring cultural dances, melodious songs, and colorful skits. A major highlight of the event was the ramp walk by the outgoing students, which was received with great enthusiasm and applause. The modeling contest was judged by Mrs. Kamaljeet Kaur from the Fine Arts Department and Mrs. Harpreet from the Fashion Designing Department. Distinguished titles such as Ms. KCW, Ms. Charming, Ms. Confident, Ms. Catwalk, Ms. Graceful, and Ms. Glamorous were conferred upon the winners.

Adding to the festive spirit were energetic Bhangra performances, a musical enactment, western dance performances, and a variety of fun-filled games. Students captured precious memories through photographs, dancing and celebrating with their peers and faculty members.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Surinder Kaur extended her heartfelt blessings to the outgoing students, urging them to move ahead with confidence, determination, and a positive mindset as they embark on new journeys.

The event concluded with the traditional Mashaal ceremony, where the outgoing batch symbolically handed over the torch to their juniors, signifying the passing on of leadership, responsibility, and hope.

The day was marked by joy, gratitude, and fond memories, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of all present.
